Hi friend. It’s been a while since I wrote something to share here. If you’re reading this, thanks for being here.
Here’s a poem I wrote the other week.
Today I asked the 90 year old me for some advice
He told me all the worrying is a waste of time,
and that the beauty of life is found in the unknown.
He told me to embrace not knowing and just go.
To trust life because it will always have your back when you have your own.
He told me to relax and take your time,
to enjoy the journey and not race to some finish line.
He told me it was always about love,
and learning to see it in every moment,
in every person,
and in every version of you
that you become.
This came from a journal entry I was writing as I was going through some tough times.
There’s a lot of opinions out there. A lot of advice.
But at the end of the day, nobody knows you like you do.
For me, turning to my older, wiser self for guidance has been helpful in finding clarity in the moments I lose perspective.
Try it out, you might be surprised how wise you are :)
Wishing you a beautiful day.
I never thought to talk to my 90 year old me, but it's a great idea and I'll give it a try! Also, both the current you and the 90 year old you are really good at writing. I hope you will write whenever you feel like writing. 😊
Thanks Bijan for continuing to share your thoughts and wisdom with us all. I've found that regardless of others advice and opinions, the answers that we need are always within us. 🙏🏽😌
